Why did you become a governor?
I became a governor at a time of transition for the academy as we moved from one academy trust to another. I felt that it was important for there to be an experienced member of staff as part of the governing body. Our Christian ethos is also very important to me and I again I wanted to share this.
How did you find out about the role?
Through the academy asking for staff nominations for the role.
What do you like about the role, and how do governors make a difference?
I enjoy being part of the governing body as I feel that it is way that I can support the students, staff and leadership of the academy. I hope I am able to offer a different perspective to the other members of the committee. Governors make a real difference through both their support for the academy and also their challenge of leaders.
