Year 11 citizenship students braved an early start yesterday to spend the day in Westminster.
As well as enjoying the sights, students had a guided tour of Parliament spending time in both the House of Commons and the House of Lords chambers as well as the historic Westminster Hall. They were then treated to a talk from Ben Bradley MP about his role and experiences of being a councillor and MP.
The day ended with a trip to Downing Street to visit the famous black door of Number 10 and the opportunity to meet its most famous resident, Larry the Cat.
What a fantastic day!
