Across all academies within Diverse Academies Learning Partnership, there is a great sense of collaboration, working together and sharing best practice – this value applies to teaching staff, support staff and yesterday, the chaplains at the two Church of England academies within the trust joined forces to share ideas.

Cristo Rodriguez-Casado (left) from Queen Elizabeth’s Academy in Mansfield, and Andy McKibbin (right) from National Church of England Academy in Hucknall, met together at National yesterday. They were meeting to talk about ways in which they are supporting our students and staff with their faith, and ideas for further embedding our Christian ethos across their respective academies, both within the curriculum and through enrichment opportunities.

We look forward to seeing their plans come to fruition as our chaplaincy teams support the academies’ Christian values and introduce and enhance ways for students to develop their own relationship with faith.
