On October 15th, QEA vice principal Mrs Garlick ran the Amsterdam Marathon to raise money for her nephew who suffered significant brain injury following a road accident two years ago.
Mrs Garlick had a fantastic run, completing the marathon in a personal best time of 3 hours 24 minutes.
Thanks to the outstanding generosity of our local community, she raised over £2000 for the brain rehabilitation unit who support her nephew.
Mrs Garlick is so grateful for all of your support, kind donations and good luck messages she received.
“It was such an amazing experience with the Olympic stadium track finish being a highlight. I am not sure if the smile is of enjoyment or relief to be at the end!”
