Year 8 STEM work
We were delighted to welcome Mark and Dan from the Royal Navy who visited year 8 students at QEA to speak about the role of helicopters in the Navy.
Students saw clips which show the reality of just how difficult it is to land a helicopter on a moving ship and discussed the many different career roles involved in the Royal Navy.
Students also learned about the different forces that make a helicopter fly and then had a go at making their own paper helicopters. Prizes were given to the ones which flew the best!
