Transition evening
We are delighted to invite parents and carers to attend a our transition information evening on Monday 24 June, from 5-6pm.
This is a valuable opportunity to learn more about life at Queen Elizabeth’s Academy, meet key staff members, and ask any questions you may have about the transition process.
- Booking is required to attend this free event.

Transition days
We are so excited for current year 6 students to join us for their transition days!
When are transition days?
- Students will be at QEA on Monday 30 June, Tuesday 1 and Wednesday 2 July.
- Students will be met at 8.30am in the main hall – staff will be on hand to welcome and signpost students as they arrive at QEA to help put them at ease.
What uniform should students wear?
- Students should wear their current school uniform on Monday and Wednesday. On Tuesday please wear current PE kit.
- Students should bring their bag with pen and pencil. Don’t forget to bring a water bottle!
What should students bring for lunch?
- Students should bring a packed lunch. If you are in receipt of free school meals, this will be provided.
What happens at the end of the school day?
- Students visiting us for transition will finish school at 2.45pm.
- If a student is being collected, they will wait in the main hall until their trusted adult arrives.

These transition events are designed to ensure that both students and families feel confident and well-informed ahead of starting with us in September.
They are a valuable opportunity for students to familiarise themselves with the school, make new friends, and experience a taste of life at Queen Elizabeth’s Academy. We are committed to ensuring that every student feels welcome, safe, and excited to start this next chapter.
