Year 11 citizenship students delivered an assembly to year 7 students this week to raise awareness of our local community and issues faced by the older generation.
Citizenship students are engaged in an action project around the difficulties and loneliness faced by the elderly, particularly in care homes. This links to our Christian values of empathy and togetherness, being aware of the needs of others and looking out for the interests of others.
Students will be raising money to support Age UK as well as working with year 7 to send Christmas cards to residents in local care homes.
