Today our year 7,8 and 9 students were treated to a brilliant assembly from the Inspire Nottinghamshire Music Education Hub today, showcasing the brilliant opportunity they have for our students to start music lessons after Easter in the following instruments:
- saxophone
- violin
- piano
- drums
- guitar
- singing
The lessons are free to students whose families have tax credits or if they are eligible for free school meals. If not, the cost for lessons is £67 per 12 week term. All students will get an instrument to take home (unless they choose piano or drums!) and one 30 min lesson per week.
We hope the assembly provided some inspiration for our students, and hope that one day we will be able to have an academy band!
