Yesterday we were delighted to open our new Careers Hub here at the academy. The Careers Hub will be a central area for students to get careers advice, have 1:1 meetings and complete independent careers research. Staff will be on hand to guide students and support them as they look at options for their future in education and employment.
Three of our year 10 students joined us at the launch and started their Unifrog journey using the new careers laptops available in the Hub. Unifrog will be launched across the academy to all year groups at the start of the new academic year.
We were pleased to invite three of our alumni – Abby, Amina and Rinalds – to open the hub and talk about their post-QEA journey with some year 10 students. They commented on how the new Careers Hub would have helped them during their time at QEA and feeling more prepared for their next step. We thank them for joining us to cut the ribbon and sharing their experiences.
