Back in March whilst still in year 10, our current year 11 Health and Social Care students went to visit the Fern Leaf Care Home in Mansfield – the visit enabled the group to speak with residents and to support their learning by gaining an understanding of what a care environment is really like. The students had a great time, and we were hoping to continue visiting on a regular basis, but the restrictions around Covid have not allowed us to do so.
However, we were very keen to continue this relationship from afar, and this week wrote Christmas cards to send to all the residents, wishing them a Happy Christmas at the end of a very difficult year.
