Currently a small group of students are in Belgium as part of a World War 1 project funded by the Department for Education.

They, alongside Mr Griffiths, are representing Queen Elizabeth’s Academy and will be spending three days in Belgium and France. During this time they will be visiting key historic locations associated with the Battlefields of WW1. Today they are in the Ypres area visiting museums and comparing the Tyne Cot and Langemark cemeteries.

We hope this eye-opening visit benefits the students’ understanding of this important period in our history.
