This week we have had our Wellbeing Week at the academy. The focus has been on raising awareness of mental health issues facing some young people today, together with looking at good strategies to maintain positive mental health.

Students have taken part in an assembly run by Mrs Percival and Mr Millar about ‘The QEA A-Z of mental health’, and other sessions such as the creation of our ‘wellbeing wall’. Students have written positive messages for each other to be shared and displayed in our main hall.

We have also come together to discuss ‘Healthy Half Term planning’. These sessions have allowed students to reflect on how they can spend their time during this coming half term to give their mental and physical health a boost.

A really useful and thought-provoking week, which we hope was of value to all students and staff.
