As part of their earth and a sustainable planet topic, year 9 students have taken part in the wind power challenge.
Students worked in small groups to research, design and construct their own wind turbines. The turbines were then put to the test to see how much weight they could lift when blown with a hair dryer. The winning team managed an impressive 0.15 kg!
