Why did you become a governor?
I had previously been involved with the Parent Teacher Association at Wainwright Primary Academy and wanted to give something back to the education sector and to support the school community.
How did you find out about the role?
I saw an advertisement on the Academy website and through governors at the open evening.
What do you like about the role, and how do governors make a difference?
It has been a learning curve since joining the committee and has taken time to get used to the strategic side of the role. I am passionate about the academy and enjoy supporting them in making a difference for the outcomes of the Academy and students.
