Why did you become a governor?
Having previously taught at this school for 14 years, the school and community will always hold a very special place in my heart. I bring with me a wealth of teaching and leadership experience which will help me fulfil my role as governor. I am passionate about school improvement and look forward to being part of the team that shapes the future of our school.
How did you find out about the role?
The role for staff Governor was advertised within the school.
What do you like about the role, and how do governors make a difference?
I enjoy being part of the governing body as it is my way of being able to give something back to the school and the local community. In this role I can support the students, staff, and leadership of the academy. As a staff governor I can offer a different perspective to the other members of the committee. Governors make a real difference through both their support for the academy and also their challenge of leaders.
